Abstract.
I will first present my own goals and interests in the area of meteor physics and dynamical astronomy, and where I vision my path as a PhD student will lie. I then briefly review my previews work in this area concerning the prototype development of a statistical dust stream simulation generating the October Draconids meteor shower, reĺase from comet 21P. Then we will dive into my current research into the meteor head echo pipeline and the associated uncertainties in orbital elements trough statistical theory and Monte-Carlo simulations. Lastly we shall look forward to the coming work and what needs to be done to realize the vision presented at the beginning of the talk.
