The Sami Camp at Kyrkudden - Cultural Dinner
Buffet
You are invited to take part of the Sami culture
and history. We begin with a visit to the wooden
Jukkasjärvi Church from 1607, where you are
told of its history and traditions. After this you
will have the opportunity to visit the reindeer
corral. Then it is time for a delicious wilderness
buffet dinner comprised of Lappish (Sami)
specialities, with time for relaxed conversation in
the light summer evening.
2-Course Lappish Dinner Buffet:
Grilled steak of reindeer with Shii-take
mushroom gravy, creamed root vegetables,
lingonberries and rowanberry jelly and aioli,
For dessert cloudberry pastry with lingonberry
cream and coffee

"In sauna veritas" - Truth reigns in the
sauna
There is hardly a better place in the world to
create social contacts, at least we Laplanders
believe so! Try our steaming hot and comfortable
sauna departments in Jukkasjärvi, and combine
sauna-bathing with relaxed conversation. We have
separate ladies' and gentlemen's Saunas. In each
sauna, there are towels and bathrobes provided for
you, as well as snacks and drinks!
Price: SEK 280 sauna including towels and
bathrobes, snacks & 1 beer.
Price child 7-12 yrs: SEK 140 including towels
and bathrobes, snacks and 1 soda.

River tour with Wilderness lunch
We start by equipping ourselves with the proper
clothing, boots and life vests.
Short bus transfer to Ahamukka where the River
tour begins.
The first stretch is quite calm, but soon we
hear the sound of the rapids. At about halfway, we
stop to eat a wilderness meal on an island. It
tastes delicious with a special Lappish cheese
sandwich and lingonberry juice whilst your guide
prepares the meal over the open fire. After the
meal we invite you to have real forest coffee, a
blueberry cake and some "Jukkasjärvi sugar"
(or punch). Now it is time to conquer the most
powerful rapids for the day. We dare to say that
you will have some butterflies in your stomach when
we pass the Pauranki rapids. When we reach our
destination in Pirttilahti a bus awaits to take you
back to Jukkasjärvi. (You will be 10 to a
boat, age minimum 12 years).

the most powerful rapids, this tour ends for the
children. At a place called Talvima, they step
ashore where the bus waits to take them on to
Pirttilahti where the adults soon will finish their
tour before going back by bus to
Jukkasjärvi.
